Coons Construction, LLC is a growing residential remodeling company looking for a carpenter to join our team! Our small company is focused on quality craftsmanship, safety, and building an excellent reputation in the industry.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Must own large assortment of hand and power tools in good condition
- Reliable van/truck and a clean driving record
- Demolition—ensures site protection is in place and meets safety guidelines
- Concrete—small foundations and flat work patch jobs
- Framing—new additions as well as challenging remodels
- Siding installation—Hardie and cedar
- Trim—base, doors, windows, crown molding, and cabinets
- Drywall—hang, mud, and texture
- Painting—good with a roller and a brush
- Roofing— architectural shingles
- Owns smart phone
- OSHA 10-hour card required after 90 days
Preferred qualifications and experience (candidates interested in lead position):
- Good people and communication skills
- Familiarity working closely with homeowners and subcontractors
- Experience using blueprints to do takeoffs and layouts
- Use email to communicate efficiently and effectively
- Overseeing apprentices
- Familiarity with Building Codes
Other requirements:
- Qualified candidates must be able to take directions and complete tasks independently.
- We require each worker to be responsible for keeping a clean work site. A clean site shows professionalism and keeps the site safe while working in people’s homes.
