Nathan found his calling early in life. Tools, the act of building and the smell of wood drew him toward a craftsman’s journey.
After working at a few construction sites as a young laborer, he enrolled in trade school for carpentry. Nathan received his Certificate in Carpentry in 2001 and started his residential remodeling career the same year.
Over more than a decade, Nathan honed his skills as a carpenter, a project planner, a keen observer and a communicator. He soon found his quality standards were higher than the expectations of the people he worked for.
Determined to lead his own team of hand-picked precision builders, Nathan returned to school and earned an Associate of Technical Arts degree in Construction Management from Edmonds Community College. He founded Coons Construction shortly thereafter and continues to enhance the company’s use of Building Science and construction technologies.
Nathan is a Seattle native drawn to our region’s architectural history and to the Pacific Northwest sensibility that continues to evolve.
Coons Construction reflects Nathan’s dedication to craftsmanship in all things. He oversees each project, ensuring communications and processes lead to the exact place they’re meant to go.

We are guest workers in your home and we act accordingly.
Coons Construction adheres to all required safety standards—and some that go beyond requirements. Our company holds many certifications, including designation as an EPA Certified Lead Safe Firm.
COVID-19. Starting with our initial client meetings through construction, we follow Washington State protocols for your health and the safety of our staff. That includes hosting online video meetings as needed, keeping the recommended social distance while in your home and wearing masks according to current state policy.
